By default, the serial number of the device is displayed as the device name.
Procedure rename the device name:
- In Sunny Portal, select “Configuration” > “Device Overview“.
- Select the symbol for device properties in the device line. Click “Settings” for the device you would like to rename.
- Select [Edit].
- Remove the entered device name and enter a new name in the “Name” field.
- Select [Save].
To maintain an overview of the devices, the last 3 digits of the device name (last digits of the serial number) should not necessarily be over written.
The actual serial number itself is retained when the device name is renamed.
Note:
In order to rename a device, it is required that you are registered in the Sunny Portal as an “Installer” or “System Administrator“.
