Sunny Explorer – Firmware update manual
You can update the firmware of all devices or individual devices in your plant using Sunny Explorer from version 1.02. To do this, a Bluetooth connection must be available.
Inverters of the same type automatically update themselves among each other.
A firmware update with Sunny Explorer can only be performed if a firmware file of type “UP2” is available for download for the desired device type in the SMA Download area.
- Download the update file from www.SMA-Solar.com and save it to your computer.
- In the main menu of Sunny Explorer select “Extras > Device update…“.
- Select the […] interface in the “Update file” field.
- Select the update file followed by [Open].
- Sunny Explorer indicates that the update file was loaded successfully and displays information on the update file.
Information: If the update is aborted immediately, the update file should be copied to the root folder of Sunny Explorer (usually ‘C:\Programs\SMA\Sunny Explorer’). - Select [Next] and confirm the end of the update with [OK].
