Can current firmware for the Sunny Boy 3000TL-21 be installed on other device types, e.g., Sunny Boy 3000TL-20?
Unfortunately, it is not possible to install the firmware for the Sunny Boy TL-21 on the Sunny Boy TL-20. The TL-21 is a completely new device and has different firmware and hardware.
Every inverter needs device-specific firmware. It must not be used for more than one type.
Since the Sunny Boy TL-20 is no longer part of our current product portfolio, you will only find the associated firmware on our website in the archive. Here is the link to our download area: https://www.sma.de/service/downloads.html.
