Bluetooth® communication with five inverters of type SB or SMC is not possible
In a Bluetooth® network with five inverters of type SB or SMC with separate Bluetooth Piggy-Back interface, at least one SMA Bluetooth® Repeater and a new-generation SMA inverter (with integrated Bluetooth interface), communication problems may occur.
With the current SMA Bluetooth Repeater firmware version 01.00.04.R, this problem no longer occurs.
- Please update the firmware on your SMA Bluetooth Repeater.
You will find the current firmware at www.sma.de > “Service > Downloads > Monitoring & Control > BTREP-IN / BTREP-IN.GR2 > Firmware > International” or by clicking here.
If it is not possible for you to perform a firmware update, we can recommend the following solution:
- Briefly disconnect the SMA Bluetooth® Repeater from the power supply to carry out a reset. The disconnection can be performed using a timer.
Sunny Boy inverters with separate Bluetooth Piggy-Back interface must not be active during the reset (recommended time: nights).
The Bluetooth network is re-established the next morning and operates as usual when you connect to the Bluetooth Repeater via Sunny Beam (automatic) or Sunny Explorer (manual).
