Password, ID code, security level
To safeguard against unauthorized or unintended access, it is only possible to change the parameters after the installer password (the ID code) has been entered at the “installer” security level.
Procedure:
In the Sunny Data Control software
select under menu item “Extras” ->“Security Level”:
User name: Inst
The installer password consists of the following:
ID00 plus the sum of the day + month + last two digits of the year.
On September 5, 2015, for example, the sum would be 5 + 9 + 15 = 29.
The password would then be ID0029.
Note that the letters ID must always be entered in capital letters.
The password for the installer is based on the date setting of your computer.
In the Sunny Boy Control (SBCo) device
Enter the installer password under menu item Settings/Password using the arrow keys.
Information: If the installer password in the SBCo had been changed manually, the changed password must be entered. If this is no longer present, please consult the SMA Service Line.
In the security level “Installer,” you have the option of accessing more of the inverter’s parameter list and, for example, resolving a Permanent Disable Mode.
To change the security-related grid parameters (after consultation with the grid operator!) your personal SMA Grid Guard code must also be entered, order form http://files.sma.de/dl/22720/GRIDGUARD-en-33.pdf*. The Grid Guard code is entered in security level “Installer” under the parameter “Inst-Code.”
