Check the connection quality and software package of the inverters.
Please check first to see if each device listed in the Sunny Beam “Connected devices” menu is displayed with a checkmark. If it is displayed with a padlock icon instead, then the inverters are either protected by a plant password, or no connection can be established with the devices. This may occur if, for example, an inverter with an SMA Bluetooth® Piggy-Back is not supplied with PV voltage.
If a checkmark but no data is displayed for a Sunny Boy 3000 TL-20/4000 TL-20/5000 TL-20 with Bluetooth® integrated as standard, then the cause of the problem is likely an outdated inverter software suite. The software suite should be no older than version 2.06 (released on 06/23/2009).
If the device is a Sunny Boy 4000 TL-20 or SB 5000 TL-20 with software suite version V1.60, an intermediate update to version 1.71 is necessary. Only then can the system be updated to package version 2.07. Always observe the readme in Firmware-Update_V2-07.zip.
An alternative possible cause may be poor connection quality to the PV plant. Check the quality in the “Service/Diagnostics/Connection quality” menu.
