Synchronization between the inverter and the communication product
Our inverters and communication products are synchronized when you connect them. In the process, the inverter adopts the time from the Sunny Explorer, Sunny Beam, or Sunny WebBox (with Bluetooth®).
The benefits of a synchronized system time come to the fore during service work:
If the inverter demonstrates a disturbance or irregularity, a synchronized system time makes this easier to comprehend and to identify the circumstances in which this event occurred. You must use the correct system time during service work in order to reconstruct the actions leading up to defective operation, which makes it easier to rectify the defect.
Further information
SMA inverters that establish the Bluetooth® connection via an SMA Bluetooth® Piggy-Back offer a unique feature. These inverters terminate their connection to the communication product when they are no longer in feed-in operation. In order to ensure a correct system time, you must therefore connect the inverter to a communication product once a day.
The following is also important: The connection between the inverter and the communication product needs to be re-established if the AC and DC power supply of the inverter has been interrupted for two or more days.
