No connection to the inverter
If a connection is not established, the following measures can be taken:
- Make sure that the Sunny Beam is not in the dead spot of the antenna. The radio shadow starts at the tip of the antenna. Therefore, the Sunny Beam should never be placed directly above or below the inverter, even if there is a storey between them.
- Please check the radio contact by positioning Sunny Beam approx. 3 meters away from the inverter (visual contact, same height) and set the data query frequency to the smallest interval. Then start the detection of the inverter. If the inverter still cannot be detected, other devices may be disturbing radio transmission.
The following measures may only be carried out by an electrically qualified person. Therefore, please contact an installer if you are not an electrically qualified person yourself.
- Check to see if the ridged ring, with which the PG cable gland on the inner side of the inverter enclosure is tightened, has an electrical contact to the metal housing. It might be that some of the paintwork of the enclosure must be scratched off using the ring.
- Please compare the group setting of the Radio Piggy-Back with the group set in Sunny Beam. The Radio Piggy-Backs are all set to group 1 by default.
- Please check that the Radio Piggy-Back is correctly installed.
- Please check whether the inverter is grounded and that the PE protective conductor from the inverter is correctly connected in the distribution board. You should also check the quality of the building grounding system.
