Yellow LED permanently on
In the event of the recurrence of certain disturbances, the inverter switches to the operating state “Permanent Disable Mode.” The yellow LED is then continuously illuminated and the inverter does not feed in anymore. If the inverter has a display or communication device, the specific error message is displayed there; further information can be seen in the respective diagnostics.
The status can be reset for test purposes either with the help of software or via a data logger, otherwise the device must be replaced. In particular, resetting the error shown in the NUW-Timeout, NUW-dI, NUW-Fac and NUW-Zac error messages is successful in the long term.
If, after resetting, the disturbance no longer occurs or only occurs very rarely, no further action has to be taken. In this case, the next step is to continue to monitor the device.
However, if the message repeats or persists, the device must be replaced.
In this case, please contact SMA Service with the following information:
• Device type and serial number of the inverter
• If the device is in the warranty period: the warranty certificate
• LED blink code and (if known) error message
How To reset the Permanent Disable Mode via communication:
Sunny Explorer /Sunny WebBox Bluetooth/ SMA Cluster Controller:
Log in as installer, select the inverter in the system tree and then:
Settings/Device/Operation/Reset operating data/Reset operation inhibition and click on the button “Save”
Sunny WebBox (485)/ USB service interface and SDC3.93 / Sunny Boy Control (SBCo):
Log in as installer, for SDC and SBCo enter the ID00xx code, select inverter and then:
Parameters/Speicherfunkt./Reset Fehler and click on the button “Save” (Stands for Parameters/Memory Functions/Reset Error)
