CO2 factor
Generating electric current by burning fossil fuels (e.g. by coal-fired power stations) emits CO2.
The CO2 factor indicates how much CO2 is produced for every one kilowatt hour of electricity generated. Depending on the technology employed and the efficiency of the processes involved, the CO2 factor may be different for individual electric utility companies.
Your electric utility company can inform you of the quantity of CO2 that they emit for every one kilowatt hour of electricity generated.
Flashview uses this CO2 factor as a basis for calculating the quantity of CO2 that you have saved by using your PV plant.
