With the USB service interface
To change the operating parameters, you need a USB service interface (USBPBS), and the Sunny Data Control software or the Windy Boy Setup Tool.
For Windy Boy inverters WB 3600TL and WB 5000TL, you need the Sunny Explorer. No additional USB service interfaces are required due to the integrated Bluetooth®.
You can order the USB service interface from the SMA Service Line.
You can download the Sunny Data Control, Sunny Explorer, and Windy Boy Setup Tool software for free from our website. To do this, go to the download area of the SMA Online Service Center.
Please note that the operating parameters, as regards the grid connection, may only be changed with the written permission of the electric utility company. In addition, the SMA Grid Guard code is required, which you can order from us. Detailed information about this can be found in “Application for SMA Grid Guard code“.
The operating parameters relating to turbine control should be changed in consultation with the turbine manufacturer.
