Using the special batteries (ACCuCell AC 1800)
The rechargeable batteries “AccuCell 1800” used in Sunny Beam were specially selected for the table-top device and its requirements (battery voltage 1.5 V each). These batteries can not therefore be replaced with standard 1.2 volt rechargeable batteries.
Unfortunately, the manufacturer has discontinued the “AccuCell 1800”. However, SMA is able to continue to supply these batteries.
Simply contact the SMA Service Line to order these batteries. The SMA order number is SBEAM-BAT, the set contains two replacement AccuCell AC 1800 batteries.

Please also note that the AccuCell AC 1800 may only be charged in the Sunny Beam. Other chargers will cause the batteries to become defective.
Also, the batteries must not be used for other devices as they could be damaged by higher electric discharges.
Please also note that the Sunny Beam must not be used as a charger for other battery types. The batteries could leak and damage the device. In addition, the batteries must be at the same state of charge. Therefore, always use and replace these batteries in pairs.
