Sunny Beam with Bluetooth® – recommendations on rechargeable battery care
In general, the more charging cycles a rechargeable battery has gone through, the less extractable battery capacity will be available. Therefore, never allow full electric discharge of the batteries.
Our recommendations:
- Ensure that your Sunny Beam is always located in a sunny place. The best place is on a window sill on the southern side of the building.
- The Sunny Beam default settings are set to query data from your inverters once an hour. Because the inverters with integrated Bluetooth® and with an SMA Bluetooth® Piggy-Back save data internally, more frequent queries are not necessary. Set the data query frequency to a higher interval, so that data is queried less often from the inverters.
- Do not leave the display running at all times. You can set the time after which the display will go into energy-saving mode under “Settings/View options” in the Sunny Beam menu.
