A self-consumption of more than 65% is unrealistic for large-scale PV plants
For a 4-person household with an annual power consumption of 4 900 kWh and a 5 kWp PV plant, battery storage can be used to achieve a self-consumption of between 45% (6 kWh lead acid battery) and 60% (15 kWh lead acid battery).
A self-consumption of more than 65% is very unrealistic in this example. If higher self-consumption rates are to be achieved, a smaller PV plant that already features high natural self-consumption is required.
