Important information regarding operation with lithium-ion batteries:
The Sunny Island/Sunny Backup battery management system (BMS) is deactivated and therefore it has no influence on the battery.
- The lithium-ion battery has its own battery management system, the connection to Sunny Island / Sunny Backup takes place via “ComSync”.
- The customer should contact the battery manufacturer with any questions regarding the compatibility of the battery-internal battery management in connection with Sunny Island/Sunny Backup. The battery manufacturer can also contact SMA regarding compatibility questions via the e-mail addressBattery-Interface@SMA.de (or Battery-Interface@SMA-America.com).
Danger, e.g. danger of fire if non-compatible lithium-ion batteries are used!
