Remote connections are more prone to disturbance than fixed connections. What is the experience so far with regard to operating safety?
There are two types of remote connection in the SMA Smart Home.
- Bluetooth between the inverter and Sunny Home Manager
If problems occur here concerning range and stability, you can easily switch to a cable-based Speedwire connection. - Bluetooth between the SMA radio-controlled sockets and Sunny Home Manager
A class 1 Bluetooth connection is used which has a significantly higher range than with the typical PC periphery devices such as Bluetooth mouse etc. In free-field conditions, up to 100 meters can be bridged this way. If range problems occur in a house with solid concrete ceilings and walls, you can use individual SMA radio-controlled sockets and special Bluetooth repeaters from SMA to extend the range.
