The MPP tracking method is too slow for Windy Boy inverters
Wind turbine systems cannot be operated with photovoltaic inverters as the MPP tracking method used for PV inverters is too slow to follow wind dynamics.
Furthermore, wind turbine systems – in contrast to PV plants – have the properties of rotating systems (e.g. inertia), which require specially adapted control. To meet these requirements, all our Windy Boy inverters operate with a programmable turbine characteristic curve. Thus, they can be optimally matched to the wind turbine system in use and provide the highest possible yields.
