No, it does not. The PV generation counter is required neither for the 70% limitation nor for the newer Sunny Island inverters for increased self-consumption. Instead, the Sunny Home Manager simply uses the inverters’ data. If you want to increase self-consumption by means of load control (automatically activate devices), select “No counter” for the PV generation counter—the inverters’ data will then be used.
