No impairment of the inverter by ammonia.
In principle, we have determined that our inverters exhibit a good level of resistance against ammonia. We do not anticipate that the enclosure, the seal, and the connection plugs will be impaired. However, the deciding factor for a reliable statement is the period of time in which the inverter is exposed to ammonia. Additionally, the concentration, temperature, and physical state (liquid, gaseous) play a role.
The powder coating of the enclosure is most susceptible. If the air consists of up to 10% ammonia (very high concentration), the coating will be resistant for up to three months. If there is a higher level of concentration or if the inverter is exposed to the vapor for a longer period of time, this may lead to a visible impairment of the inverter, but not a technical impairment.
Our recommendation: Avoid subjecting the inverter to corrosive gases. Installation in a protected outdoor area is more suitable.
